Job Summary:

Our family ministry is seeking a part-time Program Coordinator to help administer a variety of essential programs, as well as provide administrative functions for the organization. This position is located mainly on the Southside of Chicago, and will require travel by car to reach various destinations where our programs take place.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage the organization’s partners, volunteers, and clients by facilitating important communications, scheduling activities, and sending reminders.

  • Provide program oversight by attending  the organization’s activities and ensuring each one has appropriate materials, paperwork, and follows proper protocol.

  • Perform administrative functions such as filing, organizing, and maintaining correspondences.

  • Coordinate the organization’s special events such as conferences, retreats, and fundraising events.

  • Use CRM software to enter data, manage relationships, and track gifts.

  • Assist in basic accounting functions such as balancing the organization’s books and providing income and expense reports to the accountant; if individual demonstrates  initiative and skills, may take on more accounting duties.

  • Print and distribute marketing materials for the organization; if individual demonstrates initiative and skills, may manage and update social media and/or the website.

  • Working with the Executive Director (ED) and the Associate Director(s), collect indicator reports from constituents (clients) to evaluate the effectiveness of the programming activities.

  • Assist in executing the strategy for program development and growth.


Education:

  • High school diploma/GED required

  • Associate degree preferred


Experience:

  • 2+ years of administrative experience

  • Supervisory experience preferred


Skills:

  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures

  • Excellent in computer software systems (e.g. Google Suite, Spreadsheets, PowerPoints)

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Ability to prioritize work

  • Organized

  • Efficient multi-tasker

  • Detail-oriented

  • Excellent written and verbal communicator
