Position Description

Role

As our Accounts Receivable Accountant, you will play an important role in providing outstanding customer service by managing accounts receivable while maintaining positive customer relationships. You are detail-oriented, well organized, self-motivated, and able to communicate well with customers and team members.  You will work independently on accounts receivable and collaborate with our customer service specialists to provide a unified positive experience for our customers.

Duties

New Customer Account Onboarding

  • Team up with Customer Service to provide a positive new customer onboarding experience.
  • Research credit and establish terms. 

Invoicing

  • Process and email/mail daily invoices.
  • Process necessary export documentation to customers/freight forwarders.

Accounts Receivable Aging Management

  • Manage credit holds for new orders.
  • Process and email/mail monthly statements.
  • Communicate regularly with customers regarding past due accounts.
  • Issue demand letters if necessary.
  • Work with a collection agency when necessary.

Payment/Credit/Deduction Application and Reconciliation

  • Receive and post check/ACH/credit card payments to customer accounts.
  • Process credit card Payments.
  • Process credit card authorization for new orders.
  • Customer follow up on failed credit card transactions.

Customer Service Credit Memos/Deductions

  • Validate and process credit memos for various customer service issues.

Requirements

Your Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize to meet deadlines and work independently.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong team player with demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills and positive, professional attitude
  • NetSuite or comparable ERP experience.
  • Demonstrates proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
