Job Description

The Salem Group is partnering with a Wealth Management company in Highland Park.  Our client is growing quickly and looking to add on an additional Brokerage Assistant.

Job Description:
1. Processes new accounts and follows through on account paperwork of producers.
2. Interacts with Clearing Houses to resolve client account issues.
3. Runs reports, compiles spreadsheets, edits and composes documents, maintains files.
4. Develops weekly new account reports including privacy letters, accounts opened by branch and clearing firm totals.
7. Acts as a liaison between branch offices and clearing firms handling account problems, margin calls, bond breaks, procedural questions and documentation issues.
8. Creates daily logs of large transactions.
9. Assimilates new branches into firm. This includes training new branches on firm procedures and clearing firm platforms, setting up access to platforms.
10. Sets up and maintains client internet access identifications and logs.
11. Reviews trade tickets and blotter.
12. Maintains customer account files.
13. Maintains monies in and out and third party transactions logs.
14. Performs other duties as assigned.
15. If properly licensed: Fulfill the tasks of the order desk, including entering orders, providing quotes and maintaining daily blotter.

Job Requirements

  • Pursuit/interest in pursuit of Series 7 licensing is recommended for this position
  • BA-level degree and industry experience/knowledge preferred
