Job Description



Promote the products and services offered by HHC, Inc. through daily quality production of all work. Effectively and positively communicate with management, employees, customers and vendors. Promote the long-term goals of HHC/HIC, Inc. Promote good working relationships and teamwork with all employees. Must be flexible and perform other duties not listed below to meet HHC Inc.'s changing needs. Directs all work activities and personnel in the scheduling, quality control and shipping & receiving departments.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:

  • Completes jobs as assigned by HHC, Inc. management.
  • Ability to communicate fluently with Hispanic work force.
  • Works with other department managers, supervisors and lead men in the timely completion of jobs and coordination of production thru put.
  • Demonstrates personal support of and follow all Company policies, guidelines, safety    

        rules and procedures.

  • Manages workforce to ensure overtime is kept at a minimum by utilizing schedule adjustments. Schedules overtime as needed for work completion.
  • Responsible for the creation of Job Cards, parts evaluations and inspections of

incoming/outgoing/HIC parts and assures the accuracy of  information on Job   Cards.

  • Follows established paperwork procedures to establish, maintain, track and complete jobs.
    • Ensures accuracy and timely completion of work.
    • Utilizing the IL Production Schedule prioritizes production and detem1ines best possible practices and uses good techniques and judgments in work assignments.
    • Report issues of a reportable nature to supervisors immediately.
    • Holds plant employees accountable to HHC, Inc. policies/procedures, safety rules, quality of and production of work, cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas.
    • Has knowledge and understands requirements for all aspects of the position.
    • Works under the direction of the Plant Manager, and in conjunction with the Technical Support Manager, and coordinates with other personnel and shift Lead Men.
    • Communicates with customers and vendors when necessary.
    • Assures proper parts management in assigned area.
    • Directs assigned personnel regarding job s to perform, work rate, quality of work, and overtime.

  • Insures assigned personnel fill out all required job paperwork correctly.
  • Assists in the writing of performance appraisals and participates in the performance review of assigned personnel – as requested by Plant Department manager(s).
  • Responsible for scheduling jobs to ensure maximum production and to meet customer due dates. Works under the direction of the Plant Manager and coordinates with other personnel and shift Lead Men.
  • Coordinates and communicates effectively with the Technical Support Manager to ensure effective and efficient work flow through the plant.
  • Responsible for insuring jobs meet quality standards.
  • Ability to accurately read blueprints, mechanical drawings and use accurate measuring devices (tape measure, micrometer, calipers, etc...)
    • Continually work to improve efficiency and quality.
    • Report any injuries, accidents and incidents of a reportable nature to Management.
    • Demonstrate personal support of and follow all company policies, guidelines, safety activities and procedures.
    • Implementation, follow up and continued development of lean manufacturing and 5-S concepts.
    • Working knowledge and ability to manage 5-S, Kaisan and continuous improvement processes.
      • Participates in and leads production/safety meetings.
        • Is available during off hours to handle customer/employee/business concerns.
        • May act as General Manager in his absence.
          • Monitors customer due dates and coordinates jobs to meet those dates and removes obstacles to delay production including rework.
          • Provides assistance to General/Plant Managers as needed.
          • Travel required as needed.
            • Works to resolve employee disagreements in accordance with Company policies/procedures.
            • Assists the Plant Manager in improvements in plant.
            • Provides technical expertise related to areas of responsibilities.
            • Expedites jobs when necessary.
            • Perform other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements




Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED required, 2 years Vocational/Technical Education preferred, minimum of five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent education and experience.


Language Ability: Ability to communicate in English/Spanish preferred.  Ability to read blue prints, comprehend simple instructions and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.


Math Ability: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, area, circumference and volume, some algebra, geometry and trigonometry calculations.


Computer Skills: Proficient computer skills required.
